This is the most popular PADI specialty courses in Australia and is one of the most enjoyable courses to teach. Students have a real desire to know more about their aquatic environment. It is also a most important course. And for good reason. As instructors we have an obligation to look after our diving environment. There is no better way to fulfill this obligation than to teach the diving public about the beauty and fragility of the aquatic environment. By providing participants with the basic introductory information about their local aquatic life, you will evoke a sense of responsibility that all divers must respect and protect our aquatic resources.

During the course, you will develop your own skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • History and Formation of the Local Marine Environment
  • Marine Animal and Plant Classification and Identification
  • Marine Resource management and Best Environment Practices
  • Responsible Human Interactions with Marine Life
